ORIGINAL PONIES AVAILABLE! ---SCROLL DOWN TO VIEW

This page contains Original Ponies I have completed.  Some have been sold, and some are available.  They are organized in Chronological order.  I will be bringing many of these ponies to appearances I have scheduled.  Some, I will place on e-bay.  The pricing is determined by the design, time investment, as well as any additional materials that may have been used, such as display cases.  I accept MasterCard and Visa.  If you are interested in obtaining one of these ponies,  Contact me and I will be happy to discuss a price.
"The Race" is an original, figurine sized, resin pony depicting the Native American story of how the humans became the rulers over all the animals.  According to the story, one day the Buffalo and humans began to argue over who should be the ruler of the animals.  It was decided that the issue would best be decided by having a race.  The winner of the race would become the ruler of all the animals.  The humans pointed out to buffalo that it was unfair because they had four legs, and the humans only had two.  It was agreed that the human could have the Birds race in their place.  Four birds participated in the Race against the Buffalo: a Hummingbird, a Meadowlark, a Hawk, and a Magpie.  The story will be provided with the pony.

The pony has been mounted on a lighted, round dichromatic base that changes colors as it slowly turns within an oak and glass display case measuring 12" X 12" X 12". The rear panel has been etched with a background that features the running buffalo design.  It is a one of a kind piece, and the first of several ponies I have planned which will graphically depict Native American stories and folklore.

This is another original pony that was completed for a fund-raiser.  This pony was completed for the NARHA.  It is an incredible organization that helps handicapped people through the therapeutic relationships that develop between people and horses, and the rhythmic motions.  The NARHA is the featured philanthropic organization for this month on the Trail of Painted Ponies.  I heartily encourage any support you can give them!
"Window of the Ancients" is the name of this RECENTLY COMPLETED original pony.  It features a window within the Anasazi Ruins.  Looking from the inside out, you can see the river in the canyon below.  At night, looking from the outside in, you can see three occupants sitting around the fire.  The base features petroglyphs and sculptural ruins similar to Chaco Canyon.  A shooting star is seen streaking down the pony's back.  This pony is currently available.

"TRINITY" is the name of the Pony below.  It has a wrap around design on both sides that is based on an earlier painting I have done.  It uses the same design style as Dream Warriors. I have added plumes of dust on the base to create a sense of movement, not only for the pony itself, but to repeat the movement that is shown with the Buffalo.
"RIVALS" depicts two bull buffaloes establishing their territory early in the spring.  The rest of the herd extends around the pony.  The pony also has a white blaze on its face, as well as four white stockings.
"Break on Through" features Texas Long Horns breaking through the barbed wire fence.  In the background, there is a storm blowing through, complete with a Texas Tornado, seen on the tail.  I have added cactus and rocks to the base, constructed of Epoxy Resin.  It is the most recent addition to my stable of original ponies.
"Arizona Outback" is the name of this detail-filled pony.  It is the first of a series of ponies that feature Classic Cars.  It features a 1952 Cadillac on one side, including the Arizona landscape, a Roadrunner, and Rattlesnake.  On the opposite side is a 1948 pickup with a horse-trailer.  They have pulled up outside next to the fence, where the dominant Hereford Bull bellows his hello.  There is a partridge in the scrub brush.  It was inspired by our trip last year to Arizona.  It includes Cholla and Saguaro cactus on the base.
"Back-Breakin" Work, is the name of this pony featuring a Bareback Rider, in the various positions during his 8 second ride.  The pony is painted in a Metallic Burgandy, and Black Enamel.  I have added all of the various tools of the trade to the base including boots, spurs, rigging, and the all important glove which is covered with resin and baby powder to assist in a tighter grip during the ride.

"Dreamtime" is a new pony which celebrates the Aboriginal Art of Bark Painting.  The pony has been covered in very thin strips of Cottonwood bark, which I stripped from the inside of some dead trees.   The designs are a blend of Dreamtime designs as well as some depictions Australian Animals found in the early Bark Paintings.  The front features a Kangaroo, and the back has a Goanna Lizard.  The colors are Black, White, Rust, and Ochre.  The base is also covered with Bark and an accompanying Dreamtime design incorporating the dot paintings.

"Serenity"  is a design that was inspired by a combination of the stream and Japanese Maples I have in my yard.  The stones, combined with the points of reflection from the water surrounding them, are contrasted with the colors of the Orange Splendor Japanese Maple.  A stream is found on the base, again, with the stones and water design repeated.

"Ancestral Arts"  depicts pottery from the various Pueblos of the Southwest, including representative designs of the Acoma, Jemez, Santa Clara, San Ildefonso, Taos and the Hopi.  In addition to the functional value of these vessels, such as carrying water and food storage, they  also carry the traditions of the families to future generations.
"Sheridan Stallion" is a new  pony that celebrates the Western style of leather carving made popular by artists such as Clinton Faye and Don King.  It is uniquely American in its origins and can be found on trophy saddles, purses and other western styled articles.  This pony features my interpretation of that style.  Although it may look "easy"  This is my second attempt at a pony with this design.  I hope you enjoy it.
"Squirreling Around" is an original pony that is painted in metallic enamel paint. It shows several squirrels operating a Trojan Horse to get around. It is inspired by the several squirrels I have in my yard, and the ingenuity they exhibit as they gather the various materials in preparation for winter. Completed October 24, 2007.  The theme of turning gears is also continued on the base.
"Cruising the Front Range"  This pony is the Fourth in the series of my Classic Cars Collection.  It features a 56 Ford cruising up the highway between Colorado and Wyoming.  The are number of  rock out croppings in that area that formed a natural fort, used in the 1800s.  The sky is dark, with the sun just beginning to break through, after a summer downpour.  The base has some of the classic guard posts, located along the edge of the blacktop, on one of the turns.  It also has rocks and sagebrush to add to the natural "flavor".
"A Cowboy's Christmas" is my First Holiday Pony Design.  The story is about three of the best cowhands being sent out to find a lost hereford and her calf.  Unfortunately, the Hereford succumbed to the cold and snow.  The Cowhands determined among themselves to find the calf.  One side shows the cowboy with a lantern illuminating the calf in the night.  The other side shows the three cowhands celebrating the discovery.  This design was submitted to the Trail for consideration as a holiday pony.

Humbug!

This Pony was awarded honorable mention in the holiday pony contest on the trail
