Boot Projects

Wednesday, December 19, 2007  LCCC Boot.  On Tuesday, Drew the eagles on both sides and Painted the menacing clouds on both sides.  Wednesday, concentrated on the eagle close up, roughing in the face and the eagle on the plains Opposite Side- Large Eagle in a tree Close up of eagle close up.
December 24:  Have added the sunrise, mountains, some sagebrush and prairie grass.  Have added feather details to the flying eagle.  more shadows to add, as well as additional details, but this should give you a flavor of how it is coming.  This is the last couple of days work.  Garage is a bit colder due to the drop in temps, but still able to work so far. Another view without reflection of flash December 26:   Painted the background for the tooled leather design across the top.

December 27:  Worked on the large eagle.  Adde the head and roughed in the body.

Close up of head of eagle.  Temps are hanging around 61, a bit chilly, but able to work on design a few hours...paint so slow to dry, so can only work a couple of layers at a time. December 29:  Worked on the head of the eagle so more As well as the landscape in the background.  Added a lake in the prairie to break up the large area of grass a bit.
December 30:  A bit more detail on eagle Roughed in the pattern on the toe of the boot.  Had to invert the top part of the design due to the edging around the toe of the boot.  It is more narrow than in the design you sent.  I believe that it still flows fine though. Still needs additional shading and black lines to define the design.
January 1:  Garage was cold...so was unable to do too much.  Painted the lettering black, added some of the cottonwood leaves and branches, worked on some of the feather detail on eagle. Painted the heel and sole black. Wrap view across the front January 4&5:  Weather was warm, so got a lot done...working on the details now
